4D3N MEDAN – BERASTAGI – LAKE TOBA (PRIVATE TOUR)
Overview
This 4-day, 3-night private tour takes you on an immersive journey through the highlights of Medan, Berastagi, and Lake Toba. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by a representative and head towards Berastagi, known for its refreshing climate and scenic landscapes. Along the way, visit the replica of the Shwedagon Pagoda and explore Berastagi’s lively fruit market. The night will be spent in a comfortable hotel, giving you a chance to unwind in the cool mountain air.
The adventure continues with a trip to Parapat, a gateway to the stunning Lake Toba. As you make your way there, stop at iconic landmarks such as the ancient King’s Palace of Batak Simalungun and the picturesque Sipiso-Piso waterfall, offering sweeping views of the lake. Once at Lake Toba, cross over to Samosir Island, where you will explore Tomok village and witness the historic tombs of Batak kings. For those traveling in larger groups, a visit to Ambarita village provides an opportunity to see ancient stone structures and learn about the island’s unique heritage. After exploring, you’ll retire to a hotel on either Samosir Island or Parapat.
The next part of the journey takes you back to Medan, with scenic views of plantations and local stops to enjoy regional snacks. Once in Medan, experience the rich culture with visits to the Maimoon Palace and Al-Mashun Grand Mosque, and shop for souvenirs and local delicacies at popular markets. The evening allows you to soak in the city’s vibrant atmosphere before heading back to your hotel.
On your final day, enjoy a leisurely morning before being transferred to the airport for your onward journey, concluding a wonderful blend of culture, nature, and adventure.

Day 1: Medan – Berastagi (Lunch/Dinner)
- Arrival at Kuala Namu International Airport greeted by our representative/tour guide.
- Departure for Berastagi, a mountain resort known for its refreshing weather and stunning mountain scenery.
- Enroute visit to Shwedagon Pagoda Replica at Taman Lumbini.
- Arrival in Berastagi and exploration of the vibrant Fruits market for local fruits and vegetables.
- Check-in at a hotel in Berastagi with lunch and dinner served either at the hotel or a local restaurant.
Day 2: Berastagi – Parapat – Samosir Island tour (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
- After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Parapat.
- Enroute stops at Rumah Bolon, the ancient King’s Palace of Batak Simalungun, and Sipiso-Piso waterfall for a panoramic view of Lake Toba.
- Visit Simarjarunjung hill to enjoy special snacks like ginger tea, fried bananas, or cassava (personal expenses).
- Arrive in Parapat and have lunch at a local restaurant.
- After lunch, embark on a Samosir Island excursion.
- Visit Tomok village to see the tombs of Toba Batak King “Ompu Sidabutar” (also a shopping place).
- Explore Ambarita village (Only for groups of 11 persons and above) to witness the traditional Batak village with ancient megalithic structures and the famous stone chair, and the execution place of King Sialagan.
- Check-in at a hotel in Samosir Island or Parapat, followed by dinner at the hotel.
Day 3: Samosir Island / Parapat – Medan (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
- Breakfast at the hotel followed by the journey to Medan via Tebing Tinggi.
- Enjoy scenic views of Rubber, Oil Palms, and Cocoa Plantations along the way.
- Stop at Pematang Siantar to shop for local products such as Ting Ting and Teng Teng.
- Arrive in Medan and have lunch at a local restaurant.
- After lunch, embark on a city tour and shopping excursion.
- Visit Istana Maimoon and Al-Mashun Grand Mosque.
- Explore shopping destinations in Medan including Batik Centre, Kedai Sulam, Pasar Ikan, and Medan Mall/Sun Plaza.
- Check-in to the hotel in the afternoon, followed by dinner at a hotel or local restaurant.
- Experience the nightlife in Medan.
Day 4: Departure (Breakfast)
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Free time until check-out.
- Transfer to the airport for your flight to the next destination.
