Overview
Deep in the virgin tropical rainforest of Sarawak, along an unbroken 40 Km band of limestone peaks, lie one of earth’s natural wonder – The Mulu Caves, hidden away on the face of steep mountains rising to 1,500m, rivers suddenly disappear into these caves. A mysterious, magical world whose interior simply ripples with exciting discoveries. The Mulu Caves Complex contains 4 Show Caves which you can journey into – The Cave of Winds, Clearwater Cave, Deer Cave and Land’s Cave. Gunung Api or Pinnacles is of special interest, being the highest limestone mountain in Malaysia, and possessing the Pinnacles, strange limestone spikes, like figures watching the park below, with some standing 45meter (148 feet) high, climbing and watching sunrise is a dream comes true for climbers.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Mulu – Mulu National Park (Dinner)
- Meet and greet by friendly representative upon arrival at Mulu Airport
- Transfer to Mulu National Park HQ for check-in
- Afternoon: Gather at Park HQ
- Embark on a 3 km plank walk to Deer Cave & Lang Cave
- Explore the stunning formations and features within the caves
- Proceed to the bats observatory to witness bats flying out of the caves at late evening (weather permitting)
- Return journey along the same plank walk back to Park HQ
- Enjoy dinner and spend the night at the park
Day 2: Batu Bungan – Penan Settlement – Wind Cave & Clearwater Cave – Long Litut (Breakfast/ Lunch/Dinner)
- Enjoy breakfast at the park canteen
- Transfer by longboat to Batu Bungan – Penan Settlement
- Observe the lifestyle of the Penan tribe and browse handicrafts for sale
- Continue the journey by longboat to Wind Cave and Clearwater Cave
- Explore the mesmerizing caves and geological formations
- Have a packed lunch at Clearwater summer huts and take some time to relax
- Resume the journey by longboat to Long Litut
- Begin a 3-hour jungle trek to Camp 5
- Immerse yourself in the lush rainforest surroundings
- Arrive at Camp 5 and settle in for the night
- Enjoy dinner and unwind in the peaceful wilderness environment
Day 3: Camp 5 – Pinnacles (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
- Begin the day with breakfast at Camp 5
- Embark on an ascent to Gunung Api, a 3-hour trek to view the magnificent Pinnacles
- Along the way, marvel at the diverse plant species and encounter various insects in the virgin jungle of Borneo
- Reach the observatory point and enjoy a packed lunch with a breathtaking view
- After lunch, begin the descent back to Camp 5
- Take your time to appreciate the surroundings during the descent
- Arrive back at Camp 5 in the evening
- Dinner will be served at Camp 5
- Overnight stay at Camp 5
Day 4: Terikan River – Mendalam River – Longhouse (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
- Enjoy breakfast at Camp 5 to fuel up for the day
- Embark on a walk through the lowland forest to Terikan River
- Experience the rich biodiversity of the rainforest along the way
- Carry a packed lunch for the journey
- Arrive at Terikan River and board a longboat
- Cruise down the Terikan and Medalam Rivers, soaking in the scenic beauty
- Take in the sights and sounds of the rainforest during the boat ride
- Arrive at the longhouse in the evening
- Enjoy a traditional dinner and cultural experience at the longhouse
- Overnight stay at the longhouse
Day 5: Departure (Breakfast)
- Breakfast at longhouse
- Transfer by road to the town of Limbang or Limbang airport for flight back to Miri or next destination.

- This is only a quotation. No reservation has been made until we receive your written acceptance of the quotation and deposit to secure the quotation rates.

- Deposit of 50% is required upon booking confirmation and final payment to be paid in full one month before arrival.
- Change of travel date is allowed and must be made 2 weeks prior to check-in date and is subject to room availability.
- Cancellation procedure: Travel arrangements for any member of the party may be cancelled at any time by written notice by the person who made the booking.
- Please note the following: If notice of cancellation is received by Star Travel more than 30 days prior to the guided holiday departure date, 20% will be retained along for Star Travel’s Cancellation Fee Waiver payment.
- If full payment is not received one month prior to arrival date, Star Travel has the right to cancel your reservation. Star Travel will not be responsible for lost reservations.
- If a person in a party cancels and there is a room change caused by this cancellation (such as Twin to Single), charges for the new room type will be the responsibility of the remaining party.
- Illness or Absence: Early return expenses are the guest’s responsibility. There is no refund for absence or early departure from a guided holiday.
