4D3N VIENTIANE โ LUANG PRABANG (PRIVATE TOUR)
Overview
Upon arriving in Vientiane, you’ll be warmly greeted by your representative and transferred to your hotel for check-in. The remainder of your day is free for you to relax or explore the city at your leisure.
The next day begins with a visit to the cultural treasures of Vientiane. Youโll explore Wat Sisaket, famous for its thousands of miniature Buddha statues, followed by Wat Prakeo, the former royal temple. The tour continues with a stop at the iconic Patuxay Monument, where you can take pictures of this prominent landmark, and then visit the sacred That Luang Stupa, a symbol of Laos. In the afternoon, youโll board a high-speed train bound for Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. Upon arrival, you’ll transfer to your hotel for the night.
On the third day, an optional early morning alms-giving ceremony offers a glimpse into local spiritual traditions. Afterward, enjoy breakfast before heading out on a tour of Luang Prabangโs key sights, including the National Museum at the former Royal Palace and the ancient temples of Wat Sene and Wat Xiengthong. Youโll then cruise upstream on the Mekong River, stopping at Ban Xanghai village, known for local Lao whiskey production. On the way back, a stop at Ban Xang Khong village will give you the chance to see traditional Saa paper-making. The evening is yours to enjoy at Luang Prabangโs lively Night Market.
On your final day, youโll have breakfast at the hotel and free time until your transfer back to Luang Prabang airport for departure, bringing your journey to a close.

Day 2 Vientiane โ City Tour โ Luang Prabang by Train (Breakfast)
- After breakfast, visit the oldest Wat Sisaket with thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo.ย ย
- On the way to the famous and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa, we will stop to take some picture of the imposing Patuxay Monument.ย ย
- We then board speed train to the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage City Luang Prabang.ย ย
- On arrival, transfer to hotel.ย ย
- Overnight in Luang Prabang.ย ย
Day 3 Luang Prabang โ Pak Ou Cave (Breakfast)
You have the option to wake up before dawn to witness and participate in offering alms to hundreds of saffron-robed monks โ an awe-inspiring sight. Please tell your guide a day in advance if you wish to make an offering so he/she can prepare some food for you to hand over to the monks. This early morning ritual dates back generations in Laos. Watch the town come to life in the morning then return to the hotel for breakfast or join the locals for a bowl of delicious noodle soup after the alms giving ritual. (If you do not wish to make an offering, please keep an appropriate distance and observe the ritual in silence. Dress appropriately โ shoulders, chest and legs should be covered).ย
- After breakfast, we enjoy a short-guided tour sightseeing the National Museum at the former Royal Palace displays a lovely collection of the artifacts.ย ย
- Continue to the cityโs oldest temple of Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong.ย ย
- We then board a cruise upstream on the Mekong River.ย ย
- Along the way, we stop at the small village of Ban Xanghai.ย
- Back to the city in the afternoon, stop to visit Ban Xang Khong, famous for Saa paper making.ย ย
- This evening is free on your own to stroll around the Night Market.ย
- Overnight stay in Luang Prabang.ย ย
Day 4 Luang Prabang โ Departure (Breakfast)
- Breakfast at hotel (rooms available until 12:00)ย
- Free at leisure until transfer back to Luang Prabang airport for departure.ย ย
