6D5N WINTER HORSE FESTIVAL 2024 (PRIVATE TOUR)

Upon your arrival in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia’s vibrant capital, you’ll be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel for check-in. The afternoon will take you on a city sightseeing tour, where you’ll visit the Gandantegchinlen Monastery, a significant religious site, and the National Museum, offering insights into Mongolia’s rich history. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner before settling in for an overnight stay at the hotel.

The next day, after breakfast, you will begin your journey eastward to Khentii Province, a region known for its historical significance. The 330 km trip will include a stop for lunch at a local restaurant. Upon reaching Chinggis town, the provincial center, you’ll take a short tour before continuing to Batnorov village, approximately 100 km away. In the evening, you’ll join a lively dance party with the locals in a small club, adding a touch of authentic Mongolian festivity to your experience. You’ll spend the night in a traditional Ger, immersing yourself in the local culture.

On the third day, after breakfast, you will attend the Horse Festival, an exciting event filled with traditional competitions like horse catching and horse racing. The festival opens with a grand parade of Mongolians dressed in colorful traditional attire, riding their horses with pride. You will have the chance to participate in this parade as well. Throughout the day, there will be skill shows and various competitions, showcasing the deep connection between Mongolians and their horses. In the evening, you will enjoy a captivating folklore performance before retiring to your Ger for the night.

The following day brings more festival excitement, starting with a Mongolian steppe dog show and competitive events. Later in the afternoon, you’ll visit a nomadic family to gain deeper insights into their unique culture and lifestyle, a truly enriching experience. The night will again be spent in a cozy Ger, blending modern adventure with timeless traditions.

On the fifth day, after breakfast, you’ll begin the journey back to Ulaanbaatar, covering 430 km, with a stop at the impressive Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex in Tsonjinboldog. This 40-meter-high statue offers panoramic views of the surrounding area from the top deck, an unforgettable highlight of the trip. After visiting the complex, you’ll continue to Ulaanbaatar, where you can indulge in some last-minute shopping before enjoying a farewell dinner. You will spend your final night at the hotel.

On your last day, after breakfast, you’ll check out from the hotel and be transferred to the airport for your departure, marking the end of your memorable winter adventure in Mongolia.
