Overview
Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, the vibrant capital of Mongolia, and transfer to your hotel for check-in. In the afternoon, embark on a city sightseeing tour, visiting notable sites such as the Gandantegchinlen Monastery and the National Museum. Enjoy a welcome dinner and settle in for an overnight stay at the hotel.
Depart from Ulaanbaatar and travel eastward to Khentii Province, covering approximately 330 km. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant along the way. Upon reaching Chinggis town, explore the center of the province before continuing your journey to Batnorov village, located about 100 km away. In the evening, experience a lively dance party with the local people at a small club, followed by an overnight stay in a traditional Ger.
Attend the exciting events of the Horse Festival, starting with breakfast and the horse-catching competition, followed by horse racing. Witness the official opening parade of the festival, featuring beautifully dressed Mongolians on horseback. After the parade, enjoy horse-riding skill shows and competitions, concluding the day with a captivating folklore performance. Spend the night in a traditional Ger dwelling.
Start the day by watching the Mongolian steppe dog’s show and other sporting competitions. Later in the afternoon, visit a nomadic family to gain insights into their traditional culture and unique lifestyle. Overnight stay in a traditional Ger.
Begin your journey back to Ulaanbaatar, covering around 430 km. Stop at the Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex in Tsonjinboldog, where you can enjoy panoramic views from the top deck of the impressive 40-meter-high statue. Upon arrival in Ulaanbaatar, take advantage of any last-minute shopping before enjoying a farewell dinner. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to the airport for your departure.

22 Nov 2024: Day 2 Travel to Khentii Province (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
- Breakfast and depart from Ulaanbaatar and travel eastward to Khentii Province, covering a distance of 330 km.
- Have lunch on the way in local restaurant.
- Reach to Chinggis town, the center of the province and take a short tour around.
- Continue your journey to Batnorov village, located approximately 100 km from Chinggis town.
- You can enjoy a dance party with local people in a small club.
- Stay overnight in a traditional dwelling Ger.
23 Nov 2024: Day 3 Travel to Horse Festival (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
- Breakfast and enjoy the event programs including horse catching competition and horse racing.
- Official Opening Parade of the Festival starts with the beautiful, dressed Mongolians on horseback (Note that you can also attend this parade)
- After the parade, horse riding skill shows and competitions are being held.
- In the evening, be entertained by a captivating folklore performance.
- Spend the night in a traditional Ger dwelling.
24 Nov 2024: Day 4 Horse Festival (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
- Breakfast and start the day by attending the Mongolian steppe dog’s show and sportive competition.
- Late afternoon you will visit a Nomadic family to learn more in-depth for traditional culture and unique lifestyle.
- Stay overnight in a traditional dwelling Ger.
25 Nov 2024: Day 5 Travel to Ulaanbaatar & Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
- Breakfast and depart from the Ger camp and begin your journey back to Ulaanbaatar, covering 430 km, which typically takes 6-7 hours.
- On the way stop over at Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex in Tsonjinboldog.
- Statue complex is 40m high and visitors can have a panoramic view of the area from the top deck on the horse’s head.
- Continue travel to Ulaanbaatar and last-minute shopping.
- Enjoy a farewell dinner.
- Overnight stay in hotel.
26 Nov 2024: Day 6 Departure (Breakfast)
- After breakfast, check out from hotel.
- Transfer to airport for departure.
