7D6N NORTH SOUTH DISCOVERY (PRIVATE TOUR)
Overview
Upon arrival in Auckland, you will be met and privately transferred to your accommodation. Auckland is known for its stunning blue waters and emerald islands, and it’s highly recommended to explore the city from the water. You’ll spend the night in Auckland, with an optional visit to the Orbit Restaurant in the Sky Tower available.
The next day, your journey takes you from Auckland to Rotorua, with a privately guided tour through lush farmland to the iconic Hobbiton Movie Set. You’ll enjoy a shared tour of the set where The Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies were filmed, followed by a delicious buffet lunch served in the Party Marquee. In the evening, you’ll arrive in Rotorua for an overnight stay. Optional activities in Rotorua include the Redwoods Nightlights and Wai Ariki Hot Springs and Spa.
In Rotorua, you will have a half-day tour led by your private driver guide, exploring the highlights of this geothermal region. In the afternoon, you’ll visit Te Puia for a guided tour of the Maori Arts and Crafts Institute, Kiwi Conservation Centre, and the geothermal valley. The evening will include a traditional Hangi dinner overlooking the geyser, a 40-minute cultural performance, and a sweet ending with hot chocolate and pudding on the geyser terrace. You will stay overnight in Rotorua.
The following day, you’ll be transferred to Rotorua Airport for your domestic flight to Queenstown (airfare not included). Upon arrival in Queenstown, you will be greeted and transferred to your accommodation for an overnight stay. Optional activities in Queenstown include the Gondola and Buffet Dinner or the Original Onsen Exclusive Indoor Pool.
Your fifth day features a privately guided tour to Milford Sound, where you’ll witness mirror lakes and waterfalls. Upon arrival, board a vessel for a cruise of the fiord, surrounded by towering cliffs and mountains. You’ll feel the spray of waterfalls as you cruise close to the rock faces. Afterward, you’ll return to Queenstown for an overnight stay. A hot buffet lunch is included during your Milford Sound cruise.
On the sixth day, depart from Queenstown with your driver guide and travel through stunning landscapes, including the Kawarau Gorge, Lake Dunstan, and the dramatic Lindis Pass. You’ll visit Mt Cook Village and Lake Tekapo, famous for the Church of the Good Shepherd. Afterward, you’ll continue to Christchurch for an overnight stay. An optional Christchurch Tram Dinner is available.
Your tour concludes on the seventh day with a private transfer to Christchurch Airport for your departure.

Day 1: Arrive Auckland
- On arrival, met and privately transferred to your accommodation.
Day 2: Auckland – Hobbiton – Rotorua
- Morning, coach tour takes you to Hobbiton Movie Set (must see destinations)
- After exploring Hobbiton, lunch at The Green Dragon Inn before continuing to Rotorua.
- Overnight in Rotorua.
Day 3: Rotorua
- Afternoon, transfer to Te Puia for guided tour through the Maori Arts and Crafts Institute, the Kiwi Conservation Centre and the geothermal valley.

- On arrival, board your vessel for a cruise of the fiord surrounded by towering mountains and cliffs.
- After a big day out, return to downtown Queenstown.
- Lunch is included.
- Overnight in Queenstown.
Day 6: Queenstown – Mt Cook – Christchurch
- Departs Queenstown through the stunning Kawarau Gorge and fruit and wine growing region of Cromwell.
- Travel the vast plains of the Mackenzie district, alongside turquoise blue lakes, framed by Aoraki Mt Cook where you have some free time.
- Make a stop at Church of the Good Shepherd before continuing to Christchurch.
- Overnight in Christchurch.
Day 7: Depart Christchurch
- Transfer to Christchurch airport.
- Departure.
