Overview
Upon arriving in Christchurch, you will be warmly greeted and transferred to your accommodation for a relaxing stay. Christchurch offers a range of optional activities, including a scenic tram tour through the city or a serene punting experience on the Avon River.
The following day, depart Christchurch and travel through the picturesque Canterbury plains. You’ll pass through stunning alpine passes, arriving at the famous blue lakes of Lake Tekapo. After visiting the iconic Church of the Good Shepherd, continue your journey into the dramatic landscapes surrounding Aoraki Mt Cook for an overnight stay in the Mt Cook region.
On day three, you’ll leave Mt Cook Village and travel through the tawny tussock highlands, passing Cromwell, known for its fruit and wine production, as well as the breathtaking Kawarau Gorge. Arriving in Queenstown, you’ll spend the night here, with optional activities like a gondola ride available for those seeking scenic views.
The fourth day in Queenstown is free for you to explore at your own leisure. Queenstown offers a variety of exciting optional activities, including the adrenaline-pumping Shotover Jetboat ride, the Dart River Wilderness Jet, an excursion to Walter Peak Farm, or a scenic jet boat tour of Skippers Canyon.
On day five, embark on a journey to Milford Sound, passing by stunning natural landscapes such as mirror lakes, waterfalls, and water-sculpted rocks. Milford Sound itself, carved by ice age glaciers, is a must-see wonder. After an unforgettable day, you’ll return to Queenstown for an overnight stay.
On day six, depart Queenstown through the stunning Kawarau Gorge and the fruit-growing region of Cromwell. Travel through the Lindis Pass and along the turquoise blue lakes framed by Aoraki Mt Cook and the Southern Alps. After some free time in Mt Cook Village, you’ll stop once again at the Church of the Good Shepherd before continuing to Christchurch. You can opt for a unique Christchurch Tram Dinner in the evening.
On your final day, you’ll be transferred to Christchurch Airport for your departure. If you have time, a visit to the Antarctic Centre is available as an optional activity.

Day 4: Queenstown

Day 5: Queenstown – Milford – Queenstown

- After a big day out, return to downtown Queenstown (approx. 12 hours)

Day 6: Queenstown – Christchurch
- Departs Queenstown through the stunning Kawarau Gorge and fruit and wine growing region of Cromwell.
- Follows Lake Dunstan and meanders through the Lindis Pass.
- Travel alongside turquoise blue lakes, framed by Aoraki Mt Cook and Southern Alps to Mt Cook Village where you have a free time.
- Make a stop to the popular church of the Good Shepherd before continuing to Christchurch.
- Overnight in Christchurch.
Day 7: Depart Christchurch
- Transfer to airport for departure.
