6D5N VIENTIANE – PAKSE – 4000 ISLANDS (PRIVATE TOUR)

Upon arrival in Vientiane, you’ll be greeted by your guide and escorted to your hotel for check-in. You’ll have the rest of the day free to explore at your leisure before an overnight stay in Vientiane.

The following day begins with breakfast at your hotel, followed by a city tour. You’ll visit Wat Sisaket, the oldest temple in Vientiane, and stop at the impressive Patuxay Monument, often compared to the Arc de Triomphe. In the afternoon, a short drive will take you to Buddha Park, where hundreds of stunning Buddhist and Hindu sculptures await. Return to the city in time to enjoy the sunset on the Mekong River, with the option to explore the Street Night Market at Anouvong Park in the evening. You’ll spend another night in Vientiane.

After breakfast, you’ll transfer to the airport for a flight to Pakse. Upon arrival, your guide will meet you, and you’ll head to Salavan province, stopping at Tateng Village to observe local tea and coffee production. After sampling a drink, continue to the Bolaven Plateau to visit the beautiful Tad Fane waterfall and explore nearby villages of the Alak, Nga, and Katu ethnic minority groups. Return to Pakse in the late afternoon, and if time permits, visit the large Buddha statue at Wat Phonethong before your overnight stay in Pakse.

On the next leg of your journey, after breakfast, you’ll leave Pakse to visit the Wat Phou Temple Complex in Champasak District. Take time to explore these intriguing Khmer ruins set at the base of Mount Phu Kao. Then, you’ll make your way to the 4000 Islands region and Khong Island, where you can unwind and soak in the scenery, especially beautiful at night. Enjoy the rest of the day and an overnight stay on Khong Island.

The following day starts with breakfast before you embark on a local boat tour to Don Khone. Here, you’ll have the option to explore by bicycle, visiting remnants from the French colonial period and Liphi Waterfall, known as “The Corridor of the Devil.” You can also take a short trip to the nearby island of Don Det. Afterward, return to the mainland at Ban Nakasang and drive south to visit the majestic Khone Phapheng waterfall before heading back to Khong Island for the night.

On your final day, enjoy breakfast and have some free time until your guide meets you for the transfer back to Pakse airport for your international flight departure. This tour offers a rich experience of Laos’s cultural and natural beauty, from vibrant city life to serene island landscapes.
